GRIM
The statue of Grim & Havelock stood at Nuns Corner in Grimsby from 1973-2006 until the frequent bouts of vandalism which occurred culminated in the decapitation of Havelock and the statue disappearing into storage. It was rediscovered many years later and eventually underwent a transformation before being displayed in its current position in Freeman Street Market.

This is a study of the intricate and intimate details of the statue - a tribute to its past and a recognition that, much like the town itself, it holds different meanings and memories for each one of us.

Ghosts
When barred from recording the transformation of Grimsby’s historic docks, we turned to online archives, reframing found images. The work explores the tension between private ownership and public memory, asking who controls access to history, and how absence itself shapes our understanding of place.

Ghosts is a 30 page A5 fold out zine featuring archive photographs documenting the changes to Grimsby Docks over the last 16 years.
