GRIM
The statue of Grim & Havelock stood at Nuns Corner in Grimsby from 1973-2006 until the frequent bouts of vandalism which occurred culminated in the decapitation of Havelock and the statue disappearing into storage. It was rediscovered many years later and eventually underwent a transformation before being displayed in its current position in Freeman Street Market.
This is a study of the intricate and intimate details of the statue - a tribute to its past and a recognition that, much like the town itself, it holds different meanings and memories for each one of us.
